Sustainable Childcare Resources has been created by Childcare Professionals, Parents and Teachers who are passionate about children's learning, the community and the environment.
Sustainable Childcare Resources is dedicated to creating natural and sustainable playspaces for young children. The new National Quality Framework for Early Childhood within Australia is now in effect and there is an emphasis on creating beautiful playspaces in which children can explore their environment. Children need opportunities to learn about sustainability practices and how they can help the world, it is also vital they enjoy natural sensory exploration within their daily activities. Sustainable Childcare Resources provides childcare centres and families with materials such as bamboo, wood, shells, plants, compost and recycling stations, woven baskets, river rocks and sensory baskets just to name a few! These items are presented in such a way to ensure children are engaged in play with natural products and are matched to the Quality Areas and Learning Outcomes within the new National framework. We will also be providing teaching tips with these products and opportinities for professional development.
